So certain consideration I've decided that the best way to get this reboot started is, most importantly, to get it rolling.
Effective immediately, all applications are now open. You may apply for any character you wish, as long as it isn't one of the ones currently used by one of the still-existing members.
There are many changes in Homestuck and in our outlook on roleplays in general so we'll mostly have to fix things up as we go. But here's a quick refresher.
Troll Cops is the brainchild of Deeum on the MSPA forums in this thread ==>
[link].
The idea being an
Alternate Universe of the Homestuck story where everyone connected by the game SBURB was instead a citizen of a crime-infested city and either on the enforcement side of the law, a criminal, or otherwise a citizen trying to keep their head above water. Many of the fanfics and roleplays written involve stories of brutal crime scenes, compelling drama, and gritty film-noir style voiceovers.
The Roleplay has always borrowed elements from the source forum thread, but our stories have more often than not gone in a different direction at certain areas. Getting into those details would be a moot point, since effectively there is no set canon for this roleplay.
I encourage anyone interested in joining to read through some of the fanfiction on the forum if they aren't familiar with it. But for the most part, every character is essentially a blank slate. It's up to you, the RPer, to give your interpretation of your character in this environment. If we feel it is within some form of grounded plausibility (or otherwise very informative and well-written) you could be accepted to join the group.
((Just a side-note though, we won't be accepting Prescratch trolls or Alpha kids yet until we figure out where we stand in the universe at large. We want to fill the universe out before opening up other channels and questions.))
And though it isn't as advertised, we're also receptive of any Troll Cops fanart. In fact, take a look through our gallery and see the cool things people have drawn in the past couple years.
So don't feel intimidated, because we are once again open for business.
